Julia Kogler

There are people you meet for the first time but feel as though you’ve known them for ages. Julia Kogler is one such person: completely at ease and with a positivity that’s infectious, this woman in her thirties talks about a thirst for knowledge, courage and making decisions. For Julia, it has never been about striving for bigger, higher or further. Rather, it’s about blossoming and preserving what really matters: family and togetherness.

Julia was curious even as a child: she has known the family business’s joinery workshop since she was very young; she found the work on building sites exciting even back then, and the staff were like a family to her. “I grew up in Mittersill with my younger sister Belinda – we had a wonderful childhood,” she recalls fondly. “The joinery has always been part of my life, and the plan was always for me to take over the business at some point. But I wanted to see a lot more of the world and gain some experience first. To forge my own path and advance my career.” Her path first took her to Innsbruck, where she completed a degree in JUS. When asked why JUS in particular – a subject that has absolutely nothing to do with the trades – Julia replies: “Because you need it in every situation in life! What you learn across the wide range of subjects also stays with you in everyday life: in finance, at work, at home, in your free time, in business, and within a company. I’ve also learnt to think across different disciplines,” she says with a confident smile. She then lived and worked in Salzburg for several years. Thanks to her roles at international companies, she’s also been able to see a lot of the world.
