The two Martins have been running the Pinzgauer Holzfachmarkt since 2016. Apart from their shared surname, the entrepreneurial duo are united by one thing above all else: their passion for wood as a material. The qualified joiners have steered the well-established business in a new direction. As well as selling retail goods, their focus is now on services: managing comprehensive construction projects – from planning through to execution and handover.

"We’ve been working together for over 10 years and it works perfectly", says Martin Lemberger. When Rainer Siegfried, the founder of the timber specialist shop, retired in 2016, he and his colleague Martin Voithofer seized this unique opportunity. They took over the business – continuing with tried-and-tested practices whilst giving new ideas a chance. “At that time, local retail trade had declined sharply due to the growth of online sales. On top of that, the increasing range of discount goods led to massive price pressure – we had to reorient ourselves.” Their strategy paid off: by collaborating with architects and property developers, they are able to offer their customers a comprehensive range of services. Their projects encompass bespoke joinery as well as installation work and high-quality products for interior fit-outs, home interiors and patios.
