A local retailer from and for the region
She is a woman who gets stuck in. Preferably with the freshly delivered food and goods at her Spar supermarket in the town centre. She has been running it for just under four years and has been supplying people in the region with fresh food and a wide range of goods ever since. Her many regular customers really appreciate this. But so do the visitors who like to stock up at the Spar on everything they need whilst on holiday here.
“In winter, in the late afternoon after a day’s skiing, the place is absolutely buzzing,” laughs the cheerful Mittersill local. The fact that the bus stop is right on her doorstep certainly helps too. Sandra set up her own business during the pandemic and describes it as a “kamikaze move” – one that turned out well, though. “People always need food, after all, and courage is part and parcel of becoming self-employed.”
She brings this zest for life with great enthusiasm to her shop, which for Sandra is more than just a place of business; it is a space where a sense of community is fostered and a connection to the region is palpable. This positive energy enriches not only her own life, but also that of her customers and staff – and that is precisely what makes her work so fulfilling.
