Towns around Mittersill

What do the Golden Roof, the Hahnenkamm and Mozart have in common? That’s right – you can discover them all in the nearby towns. Salzburg, Innsbruck, Saalfelden, Zell am See, Lienz and Kitzbühel – from Mittersill , everything is just a stone’s throw away. Because one thing must be clear: as lovely as a city break is, returning to our beautiful natural surroundings is just as refreshing. But every mountaineer needs a Mozartkugel now and then, and every female mountain biker needs an Innsbruck alleyway to stroll down every now and then – so let’s dive into the city’s delights.

Mittersill is very centrally located, so you can reach all these towns in no time at all. Zell am See and Kitzbühel are about 30 minutes away, whilst Saalfelden and Lienz are only between 50 and 60 minutes away. The journey to Salzburg and Innsbruck takes around 1½–2 hours, but it’s definitely worth the trip.
