Anyone venturing into the backcountry without a basic understanding of ski touring, equipment or snow and weather conditions is putting themselves at serious risk. If you are unsure and wish to draw on the expertise of experienced ski tourers, there are numerous ski touring and mountain guides available.

Ski touring tip: Remaining altitude

At Pass Thurn, all ski touring enthusiasts can enjoy themselves in complete safety. There, you can savour safe ski touring fun every day until 7.00 pm. The tour takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and is therefore also perfect for beginners. On piste number 70, the start of piste grooming work is deliberately postponed specifically for our ski tourers, so you can walk up the piste safely and undisturbed. The 5.5-kilometre-long piste number 76 is ideal for your ski touring enjoyment. Whether during the day or in the evening, the Sonnalm also offers a cosy place to stop for a bite to eat.
